I have been writing in journals and drawing these, as well as working on my sites, of course. But I have been hard at work. So I write intricate descriptions of site plans and have started keeping a journal just for diagrams, doodles and random thoughts. But the writing has been active writing. Writing and then doing with no time to edit it into something readable for my blog before I have a chance to test it. All I really want is a site that thinks for itself.

Yes, when i prepare for publics speaking I usually plan my speech structure bu making drawings like you do… instead of writing notes…
the information organizes itself more organically….

I like that you included the idea of link wheels. Your doodles are excellent. They are much better than my notes.. You make the idea of getting links from a variety of sources apparent. That is important. Constantly linking every blog, article or comment to a website will not be the best strategy. Actually, your doodles there should be in the SEO bible. Thanks for posting.

Brilliant idea. I think it’s very useful, it helps me thinking, cause sometimes I draw such maps too. But isn’t it hard to rewrite all this text?

Diagrams, sketches and thoughts of great artists are worth more than their own works. Nice Post!

Visual thinking doesnt apply just to writing. It also applies to the thoughts when we are in meditative stage or sleeping. The thinking actually are more visual in visualization persons. Some people are so visual they can easily see the thoughts as a movie.

Hi came across your blog and thought it was cool.

I do the same think but now use a digital pen I bought online so I can toss my ideas onto a computer late.

I like the concept of these ideas you physically draw them so the are stuck in your journal and you can reefer to them whenever good idea.. Im gonna have to start this kind of practice my self,

Its nice to see that some people still use the old school “pen and paper” approach to brainstorming. I finally switched to notepad on my PC because I was sick of pencil lead on my fingers.

I don’t use computer based tools for this like visio and freemind, because the importance here to me is the idea and those tools get me caught up in the mechanics of using them and I lose parts of my ideas.

It was tough to read the letters. but good. when you will publish your result? All the best for your efforts…..

It reminds us of what we were capable of when we are writing using our hands. Not just typing to our computer. Actually in my case, my mind really works a lot if I’m writing through paper then edit it on computer. Anyway thanks for sharing what you planned. Hope to see the outcome.

I am a web developer and designer and I am actually the type of person that works and understands better with illustrations than a block of words.

Lol.. I don’t exactly the same when I am building my sites and blogs. It’s always better to visualize a structure than just winging it.

Very Nice Idea.I think this is always useful to implement any kind of strategies or idea on paper first. But I think this is not easy for me atleast because I am not good in my drawing.
