My Firefox To Do List

Posted by & filed under Firefox, ZTD.

I carry a Moleskine around to write random ideas down which I later put in a bigger notebook which consist of to do list, article ideas, half finished articles and marketing ideas.

I only recently pulled my head out of my ass and set Firefox up to reopen all the tabs the next time I use it. It has become my instant to do list. No need for notes I can lose. Its all right here.

When I shut down for the day. I just make sure all the tabs that I want open when I turn my computer on, are.

Maybe I don’t have a good bookkeeping system or maybe affiliate marketing has too many ups and downs to calculate an average or maybe I am just a straight idiot for trying to to this without an accountant, but I need an @money category of lists.

Zen to Done – Finished

I like the concept of big rocks. I have a lot of project lists, but very limited time to do them. But cutting the active projects down to two or three, everything else just gets filed for a while. I keep a checklist of daily blogging, research, and social networking tasks. I add to lists in my moleskine. And I have limited my projects to three I work on in a week. It is helping me get more done by focusing more.

David Allen is a control freak. Sorry to say that, but the twists and turns of his system had me slacking. There was just too much. I don’t have room for a tickler file in my backpack. I downloaded software for GTD like Thinking Rock to test it out. There are too many steps to start with at once. I have used a Moleskine since before I heard of GTD and kept lists there. But I never really went back to them.

I am a GTD covert. I thought it was a new thing until I read the book. But it doesn’t quite fit everyone’s tastes. For one, I have no one to delegate to currently and when I do it will probably be through the internet where it will automatically be placed on a "Waiting For" list. Another thing is I have things that need done daily. Do I just erase and rewrite my first actions list every day or is there a better way. I am not the office type. I have an office but my backpack qualifies as an office than my desk.
