Google Plus vs. Facebook: Who Will Win In the Battle of Social Networking Sites?

Surely Facebook felt very little guilt when all of Myspace’s fans began ignoring their accounts and started networking by the thousands through Facebook instead, but I wonder how they will feel now that the tides have turned.  Pretty soon Google may know exactly what it feels like when Google + takes the world by storm in the very near future.  It should not come by surprise that Google is trying to hop on the social networking bandwagon again as they have tried in the past with platforms like Google Buzz and Google Friend Connect.  But the new Google attempt at social networking has got a lot of features that it didn’t have before, and a lot of features that Facebook only wishes it could have.

What “Sandra Bullok” Taught Me About Building Links Through Email

This is a guest post by Brandon Hopkins

When I first got the email from “Sandra Bullok” I was excited. Did she want me opinion on Jesse James? Was she looking for a movie recommendation? Did she want my opinion on Beiber??

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the real Sandra Bullock, just a spammer. However, for the record I think Beiber gets a bad rap!

The Inner Workings of the Twitter Machine

I am not quite sure why a made my last post a cliff hanger. To tell you the truth, I was running out of time and decided to just cut the post in two parts. The machine is rather simple and mine is geared to affiliate marketing, but I will explain it so that you can create one for just about any topic or industry.

Now I now there will be questions about spam whenever any sort of automation enters the conversation. Spam is how you cook it. This Twitter account I actually use. The automation is there because I don’t use it as often as I would want to. It picks up the slack when I am away.

A Twitter Machine

I must admit I can’t help. I see one technology and try to attach it to another. And then another and another. I originally learned to program so I could create things. But now all I really have to do is look around for tools that work well together.

I have had my first Twitter account for over a year now and just topped 1600 subscribers. With that account, I tweet things and go through new followers and follow anyone that interests me, manually. I rarely go looking for people for follow. My second Twitter account is a few months old and had less than 200 subscribers, so I tried an experiment. But let me show you the results first.

Listening to Twitter

Twitter has changed search and has also changed the meaning of the term “up-to-date”. This is no longer waiting until the next scheduled news cast. And forget the newspaper. Even Google is not that fast. And who needs to read a whole page when you can get the gist of what’s going on in 140 characters. Alright, I went to far with the last one. Reading is good and something I wish I had more time for, but my mission to carry a library around in my head is doomed to failure.

A Few Ways to Search Faster than Google

About 100 years ago, you would have to wait for a newspaper to get the news or go to the library to look up information. And the information you found was limited to the reach of your local newspaper and the amount of books your library could afford to carry. Another option was to be where the news happened or go to a city with a bigger library.
