Sunday: A Photo Documentary
I always thought I would carry around a digital camera everywhere and be one of those people who take pictures of everything. Never happened until today.
A nice classic looking Bungalow with a decent price. Not very many closets, but I like woodworking. I could put in some built ins.
I started with the best intentions.
This workbench was built for less than $20 out of an old pallet and a sheet of the lowest grade plywood.
I did build some things. I haven’t figured out if this shelf is supposed to look like PI or not.
A built-in transformed into a sidetable. But that’s how far wookworking goes.
But this is nice plywood. I will do something with it, some day.
Maybe the problem is me. I came home from work one day and most of this was done. The room glows pink with the lights off.
To be fair to the boy we found three Oops paints at Home Depot. Price: $20. A two year old not sleeping for three days because he was staring at his walls, priceless.
Then there were things that were necessary. They had to get done.We unpacked everything when we moved. And went looking for a phone jack. There wasn’t one. But there was a phone line coming through the wall in the basement. I figured if we bought a cordless phone with two bases, we could still use the phone and put a new jack in later. Later still hasn’t happened. There is base number one under the floor.
60 mph winds can turn a half dead tree into a big log that covers half of your front yard. The center and front of the tree turned to dust when they cut it down.
A dead dryer is an emergency. I have been ignoring this for a while. My son called it "Tiny mouse go squeak, squeak" when he heard the dryer squealing from the basement. But today it came to a screeching halt. Time to take it apart.
I checked it before and thought it was this felt ring thing that was the issue. The dryer tube rides on this in the front.
Time to take it a step further. Those screws back there are stuck like Chuck.
Which is what these two tools were invented for.
Nothing visibly wrong here. But it could really use a belt.
That could cause the problem. Found the mouse. And then found the part. And ordered it.
Three days delivery is awesome. But 4 people go through some clothes.
Cleaned up the ball thing a little
Made a temporary rigged up plastic bearing. The original was plastic anyways. Threw some grease in there,
Worked like a charm. Now that that was done, time to head back upstairs.
My wife has been setting up her new laptop over the weekend. She got it Friday.
The boy was occupied with Jackson Pollock.
The girl is a natural with the Bamboo Fun tablet. She was checking out Sketch Swap.
And I still had time to play with the dog.

Nice, I do love the pink room but that’s probably because I have an obsession with pink myself

Glad you like it all. I am thinking of doing this every weekend that has some picture opps. I found out if I take the right series of pictures, the post almost writes itself. It was pretty fun and made fixing the dryer not as boring and tedious.
Enjoyable post! LOL! I should do that sometime.
