It is hard enough to write at times and then you have to do all of the above also. Well, maybe not all of the above, but at least some of it. Unless, of course, you want to be your blog’s only subscriber.

And right now, as I am writing this, this is being done for me. Well, not the “Get Mentioned” part, but that button at the bottom of this post may help with that.

The rest is covered, almost like a personal assistant for your blog. I have been using Zemanta for a while and they had been mentioning customizable features for a while. Well, they released the new version during Blog World Expo and I tried it out the first day.

Now you can add your friends from Facebook, MyBlogLog, and Twitter, you can use your own pictures from Flickr, and add up to 130 of your own feed sources.

For more details, check out the Zemanta demo or read more about Zemanta at Bloghology. And if you want to see my ideas on using Zemanta for a niche blog, go to my other blog.

The infrastructure integrating disparate bloggers is getting better and better.

Question: why don’t blogs appear more frequently as highly ranked within search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN? I am suspicious that the oligopoly is making decisions on page ranking that keeps blogs down.

Actually, for the things I search for online, I tend to run into blogs more often than not. I think it depends on the topic you cover.

I just started using Zementa and i also use Kaalga alongside it , but better still is the new upgrade with flikr and other social networks, it would be good if they could link up to your picture folder from your hard drive.

I dare say they will go from strenth to strenth,,

I was going to reblog your post but for once Zementa was having trouble parsing yur post. mabey next time..

I have joined your community and look forward to more info from you.

Thanks for the heads up on Kaalga. I will be checking it out too. It’s the first time I heard of it. I am wishing that the customs feeds for Zemanta would work with the links in the body of the post and not just the related posts section. Thanks for joining.

Sounds like something I could definitely use! I’ll be sure to check it out and thanks for letting us know you like it!

Also try the addon for Firefox mentioned by Bill in comment #7, Kaalga. It is also very useful in providing even more ways to link out.

@Bill Masson: Yeah there was a small issue with reblog not working on this post. We parsed HTML incorrectly, but this is now fixed!

    Sorry for inconvenience.

    bye

Thanks! Zemanta is what I need right now. I’m often anxious about doing all the things that need to be done to drive more traffic to my website. But with the help of Zemanta, I know I can put more time on my writing now. Again, thank you very much for sharing Zemanta! :)

Any time. I like it. Try kaalga too. They work well together.
