I try just about every type of SEO software I run into. I just have to see if there is a tool out there that may be a little better than the one I currently have. I am a software junkie. If there is software relating to one of my vocations, I have tried it. And you know what, there is all sorts of software out there from overpriced crap to surprisingly free clones that are better than any paid versions.

SEO is a complex process. My favorites are tools that do a lot of jobs. But every now and then, there is software that does something very specific that I can’t live without.

I will try to list the best here. Not all of the best. This is a work in progress. So don’t get pissed if your favorites aren’t listed. Just haven’t got around to reviewing them yet.

SEMrush

The ultimate keyword spy tool. Find your site’s long tail keywords. Find the top competitors. Spy on their adwords keywords and ads. Spy on the organic results. Find keywords they rank for that you don’t. Get a rough estimate of how much their traffic is worth. And much, much more…

SEOpivot

SEOpivot will find those keywords hidden in your site that will give you the most bang for your buck. It finds high traffic keywords you already rank for in the top 300 results from Google, but are currently on page 3-30 for. It then tells you how much more traffic moving to #1 will give you. The results will amaze you.
