Celebrity grizzly Rocky mauls trainer Stephan Miller to death - Times Online
I realized I was getting above normal hits to my site today. It crashed this site about 9 am. Then I found out why. The link to the story is above.
This Stephan Miller actually commented a couple of times on my blog. Really strange.
I remember seeing his name in the credits of movies.
It would be different if my name were John Smith.
But I had to put something here.
R.I.P.

Repeating Myself
Now let’s see if I can write this post without repeating myself. Or I will have to start calling my blog 101 ways to look at productivity. But I guess that’s the way it goes. If I looked at the concept of productivity I held a few months ago I would have to laugh. And if I wrote about it and you read it, you think I am the most wishy washy person around.
But I can afford to be. It doesn’t hurt anyone. The whole reason many people read 50 productivity books and never become productive is that [...] Continue Reading…

I started carrying my camera on Friday this week. Trying to make it a habit to be more observant.
A lawn mower as a mode of transportation.
The tea is called Kombucha Tea. It has been around since 250 B.C. It is tea that is fermented with a specific blend of yeasts and bacteria that happen to live very well together. Similar to the way trees produce oxygen as waste, the waste products of this process includes amino acids, B vitamins, and beneficial acids and live cultures. I’m not a vegetarian or natural foods person. The first time I drank this [...] Continue Reading…

In some freakish accident about 48 hours ago, the Alexa ranks were shuffled. As a result, my other blog now has a higher ranking with Alexa than this one.
I wondered how this would effect the Top 100 Make Money Online Blogs which Ryan Shamus painstakingly went through one by one and described recently. It’s well worth a look. As far as the list goes, I see a lot of same names, just in different places. I dropped about four places.
Also today would have been the day that Marcus Hochstadt’s Blog broke the Alexa 50,000 barrier. He was going to [...] Continue Reading…

I lay awake at night thinking of things like this. Not long. A few minutes or so. Sometimes I get an idea when I am driving. Sometimes I write the ideas down. Sometimes I see if they will pop back up on their own. The ones that do get focus. But I always give them a little freedom. That way they can tell their friends that I am a good home. And then I wait on the friends.
Here are some random ones on SEO in general and Wordpress in particular. My blog seems to have focus bands like the [...] Continue Reading…

This weekend I got off my butt and went down a list of things I wanted to get done.
I built a list of blogs using the CommentLuv plugin over at my site Digital Product Review. I am just getting the final tweaks on the theme done and am ready to start getting a little more traffic. I figured this list would bring some. It only has 100 blogs on it now, but I have about 250 more links to go through, so look for updates. A large percentage of these blogs have an Entrecard widget, [...] Continue Reading…

I always thought I would carry around a digital camera everywhere and be one of those people who take pictures of everything. Never happened until today.
A nice classic looking Bungalow with a decent price. Not very many closets, but I like woodworking. I could put in some built ins.
I started with the best intentions.
This workbench was built for less than $20 out of an old pallet and a sheet of the lowest grade plywood.
I did build some things. I haven’t figured out if this shelf is supposed to look like PI or not.
A built-in transformed into a sidetable. But [...] Continue Reading…

I am a relatively organized and driven person, but I do get comfortable. Comfortable is spending way to much time exploring and not enough time marketing and getting links. Comfortable is putting off my 4 hour sessions of work that I do on the weekends and settling for the couple hours a day spent on my daily to do’s.
Then something happens. What is something?
The basket all my eggs were in gets banned by Google.
Other Adwords advertisers advance heavily on my campaigns for days before I notice it.
Due [...] Continue Reading…

Writer’s Block
I woke up today with nothing to write. That usually happens when I am in research or programming mode. These modes are necessary evils but they can throw me for a loop if I stay in either one too long.
I have also seen a tiny slump in my affiliate sales in the last few weeks. It has happened before at this time of the year. Not sure if the time of the year is the reason or what, but this also throws me for a loop. Panic mode. But sales are still better than any month last year [...] Continue Reading…

It’s time to shift my focus a little again, back to projects, code and campaigns. I am just this close to having the theme done for my other blog. And then I will using all the things I learned at this blog to get some visitors over at that one.
I have noticed when I do this, that the language I use in my blog posts change also. It becomes more matter of fact. I use less complex sentences.
For a few weeks now I haven’t done much except blog. The weekends where I would normally get caught up on those [...] Continue Reading…
