I have got my lifestream up and running on Gregarius. I still plan on using Profilactic though. It will be more effective at updating the stream multiple times a day. I could put a cron job on the Gregarius installation but it would have to run often because Twitter is in the stream.
What I do plan on using it for is to serve related content for my sites by serving the feeds of search results. It’s a hacked way to do it, but it will work until something better comes along. But the question is how do I [...] Continue Reading…

I went back to Darkroom today. I needed only to see the words continuing on the black screen to know that I missed this. I think I actually type faster that I write now. I cheat though and look at the keys as I am typing.
I just opened Darkroom up right in the middle of doing other things and decided I needed to write something. So this post is probably going to be very loose and disconnected but I don’t really care right now. The words need to come out.
I do like writing posts. I do like writing in [...] Continue Reading…

I never can tell when an idea is going to occur to me. One time it’s while I’m driving to work. The next, while I am mowing the lawn. But I can almost guarantee it will happen when I least expect it.
So I just started expecting it all the time and carrying a notebook along with me. Now it’s a Moleskine. I started with one of those 6 for a dollar cardboard flip notebook. But an idea written down in that notebook was responsible for the first thousand dollar month I had online. And it happened within a month [...] Continue Reading…

There doesn’t seem to be a common consensus on what keyword tools are useful or whether you need to use them in the first place, but there are a lot and we will get to them. Sometimes I used them, sometimes I don’t.
There are tools that can build a mass of keywords and cost some money like Keyword Elite. I myself see no use of having 5000 keywords on a niche. I did maybe at one time. But it is much better to build a general overview of your niche with a knowledge of a few of the keywords [...] Continue Reading…

Time is money. It may be something we all agree on, but what does it really mean.
Fixed costs are nice. One of my fixed costs is hosting. When I make $4000 in a month, my hosting is $125. If I triple that, it will still cost me the same and the ROI triples.
On the other hand, PPC advertising moves with the income. If I make more through PPC this month, chances are I spent more too. Yes, I can increase ROI. But for the most part, I have to spend more money to make more. And it doesn’t help [...] Continue Reading…

Eristoddle.com is the third domain I’ve owned. My first was Profit-ware.com which was banned by Google for years and now has a Pagerank of 4. I have found a use for that site and will be moving forward on it soon. My second was ClickbankEbook.com which now redirects to Digital Products Review.
It began as an internet marketing site running on PHPnuke. PHPnuke was the first CMS I played around with and the reason why I started learning to code in PHP.
Shortly after that I found StumbleUpon which sparked a lot of old interests in writing and art. I had [...] Continue Reading…

I rank pretty high for specific terms when it comes to ecommerce, even though I haven’t written a post in a while. I have learned a lot through running an ecommerce site. In fact, it has helped with my blogging and internet marketing more than you can imagine and vice versa.
I am surprised at how many techniques and methods to promote sites don’t cross boundaries. Bloggers have proprietary methods. Ecommerce webmasters have proprietary methods. Old school internet marketers have proprietary methods. I just refused to see the lines and used what worked. So if you don’t have an ecommerce [...] Continue Reading…

If I actually like to write, why am I looking into artificial content creation. Because it’s interesting. I am on the trail of building a contextual matching system and I was thinking that maybe there was a key to it in artificial content creation.
Plus I bought a huge PLR package a few weeks ago just to test a few things. I figured I could use a spinner to create totally new jumbles of words which I would then edit and add to, to create new articles that I would pre load blogs with. I have a few blogs planned [...] Continue Reading…

A short note for the beginning of the week. I still have a few prizes for both the Hodchstadt party contest and the MoneyBites contest. If you are the winner, just contact me through my contact form and I will get them to you. I attempted to contact everyone but still have a few prizes waiting for their winners.

Okay, I broke my rule about always have at least two services to compare when I decide to say something is the next best thing since sliced bread. Because I have to say, why didn’t someone think of this earlier.
I spent about a half an hour this Sunday training Vista to transcribe my voice. It was actually pretty easy and relatively accurate. The last time I tried this was with Dragon Voice about 4 years ago. I gave up that time. I sort of used it like William S. Burroughs would, as a cutup machine. Speak whatever you want [...] Continue Reading…
