How do you rank a blog?

It’s Google Pagerank. Which page? The home page. I have changed the rank of my homepage just by changing the structure of my site. It isn’t hard.

Alexa rank? Ha! I have already shown this one is way off.

Compete? Also off, but don’t have all my data together just yet.

Technorati? These numbers are like a roller coaster. Who knows?

Feedburner? Are you kidding? It depends on the day.

Well, Gyuate Park took 10 factors to create his top blog list, including user votes. So vote up mine if you get a chance. I am currently at #88. Maybe I do like the other number systems better? Just kidding. More accurate numbers means a better list.

Haha, nice post Stephan. You’re right - those factors by themselves don’t offer very much, but in aggregate hopefully they will help to rank the blogs on the IM Top Blogs list. Thanks for the plug! Btw, where is your badge? :P

Just trying to find a place to fit it in. I had the small one next to my TwitterCounter, but my css is a bit rusty and I couldn’t get it to fall in line right away and left it for later.

@Billy Great to see you.

@Sam They are very inconsistent but a mix of them all may be more accurate.

Whats in the numbers? Whos right, whose wrong? Either case , numbers are a way to measure results and you have brought up some interesting points.

The only true numbers are your own stats and I have noticed a discrepancy in even analytic providers running on the same site.
