GMAIL another Bug or what

Maybe I am not alone. This digitalpoint thread from today is talking about gmail users with dots in their username are getting the emails of users without dots. For example, john.doe@gmail.com is getting johndoe@gmail.com’s emails and vice versa.

Okay, do we see a crack is this great monopoly of Google. Time to do a little more investigating.

well gmail’s - firstname.lastname@gmail is exactly the same as firstnamelastname@gmail

The “Dot” doesn’t matter. Once you register with the dot, no one else can register without the dot.

Try opening a 2 new email account and test it out. One with dot…and one completely without dot. I don’t think you’ll be able to register.

This info is available somewhere in their faq page (if im not mistaken)/
