Firefox for Mac Sucks

Posted by: User ImageStephan Miller In: CSS| Design| Software

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Short, sweet and to the point. CSS doesn’t look the same. A window pricing calculator I wrote in javascript that works in Safari, IE7, and Firefox for Windows doesn’t work right. Why? I don’t know. But I am not going to spend just as much time writing a seperate calculator. Bring it on, Firefox people.

Update: I was a little bit pissed here, but Firefox for Mac still does not handle javascript calculations correctly.

I must say, I’ve also found FireFox for the mac to really piss me off. For example, its decided to wrap tags round each line of my site…WHY I dont know.

Also, I find it will lock up several times a day, and its not my hardware…I use a 24″ iMac.

Mozilla really screwed Firefox:Mac up….it sucks more than IE!

Don’t get me wrong. I love Firefox…on Windows. The last time I bad mouthed it, someone with Firefox jumped my post the next day. I am still waiting now. I guess they know there is an issue and don’t want to bring it up or they are not up to the challenge quite yet.

Can I get a AMEN!!!

it’s got so bad that I actually use Camino, and because I’m on an older version of OS X I’m using an old version of camino because Firefox is just tooooo clow! It turns my 8 meg line back to a 256 modem type speed, it’s terrible. I only use it now for very specific things to do with SEO because of all the plugins but otherwise for browsing forget about it.

I’ve never got used to Camino…its always looked too…old compared to FireFox. The icons and such, and the limited number of plugins that will work with it.

Being a Mac user only under duress (the office at work is pure Mac’s) I have never even tried Camino yet.
