Looking at Links Again
One thing blogging has done for me is force me to put into words vague ideas that have been floating around in my head for a while. I may not have the clout to say some things or suggest theories, but do you think that is going to stop me? I beg to differ. I think that theories and ideas just give me something new to test. And after hanging out here on the internet for long enough to know that experts at web traffic disagree more than doctors in scientific studies, I figure coming up with my own theories and reasons for doing what I do are just as good as any.

One thing I learned about people who use the internet. Everyone has their own threshold when it comes to how long they will spend beating their head against the wall looking for somehting specific. I haven’t met my threshold yet. I stop and take a break sometimes maybe for days, but I remind myself to look again at another time. Another thing I have learned about people that are new to the internet, and there always will be some, is that they think they have to pay for everything.

I have done a few things in the past to make sites rank that would definitely qualify as being on the black hat side of things. I am done with that now. It’s too much work just to see all my work washed away by a search engine update. And I am not the type to keep trying to beat the search engines just for the sake of saying you can. But, of course that’s not the only reason to resort to spam and trickery. It is also very lucrative, if you can get a handle on it.
