Who Gets A Cut

If you know your niche, that’s basically all you have to look at when you are searching for ways to monetize a site, along with "how big is the cut".

I didn’t start in internet marketing. I started before I had a computer in my teens with "Make Money at Home" offers. I never fell for any of them enough to sign up, but I got myself on every list I could. I would get an offer and follow the money trail in my mind. I realized why most MLM products are so expensive. Blog Monetization Strategies

Last night I sat down and decided I wanted to list all the ways to monetize a blog. Not a list of websites, but a list of types. That way I could look at them all, weigh advantages and disadvantages, decide which work well together, and come up with a plan.

Up to this time, I have been an affiliate marketer. I have made a little money through Adsense, but this is nothing compared to what I made through affiliate programs. At the peak of my Adsense earnings, I was making about $1000 a month. But I used it to hedge my bets with people I drew into affiliate links. This was two years ago.  Read more... Trusted Sneezing, Banner Ads, and Private Ads, Oh My

I want to write more reviews here. The issue right now seems to be that I’m a cheapskate. But a weird kind of cheapskate. I have spent anywhere from $2000 to $4000 a month in the last year on Adwords. I only recently started investigating ads of the text link variety, but I had to keep it under a budget of $50. See what I mean by weird. Next month I am kicking it up a notch though. Well, I’m seeing the results from those ads and I’m really not afraid of Google finding out when it comes down to it. If you only knew what  has available…, but I am sworn to secrecy. You have to sign up and buy regular text ads first. But you can get $100 off your first purchase of over $120 worth of text link ads. Building Steam

Sometimes you have to put one foot in front of the other. That’s it. Just focus on that and things will happen. Choose only the amount of daily projects you can get done and do them every day. Ignore everything else. Don’t let the latest greatest thing distract you from what you have chosen to do.

I have been wishy washy with many things in the past, but affiliate marketing taught me something by accident right after I started making money. The first paragraph sums it up. Of course it’s not all I needed to know. I also needed to know when to step back, take a overview of the whole situation, and change my priorities.  Read more... Quick Zanox Overview

I never heard of Zanox until they released to the press that they had changed their website to add more information to help beginners on their way with affiliate marketing. It seems that the amount of affiliate networks have increased exponentially since I first become involved in affiliate marketing and there is just not enough time to even hear about all of them.  Read more...
