Santa Fe Office Interiors – Running on Drupal

I am not saying it’s the best site that I have built and the css and layout still needs a little work, but it works great for now and it took very little time to set this site up and modify an old Photoshop template to work. It’s using tables which, I know, in website design today is a no no, but with the deadline I was trying to meet to have at least a usable site didn’t allow for rewriting a whole table based template in css. How to Get Pro Drupal Development from Apress for less than $12

I am talking about the ebook and not the print book, but if you’re attached you to your computer like me, than an ebook is worth more than a print book and saving about $30 is a pretty big deal. Yes, you have to jump through some hoops but only about two or three.

But learning about Drupal in depth is worth it. If you have tried to create your own modules, most of the tutorials online are too technical. I have been writing php code for at least two years now, from hacks for open source software to complete sites from scratch, but some of these tutorials could have just have well been in Japanese for all I got out of them.  Read more... Needing help with my lists

I have a list of lists that I started here about a year ago, but updating them sucks. I think that they could become out of date daily. So if anyone stopping by wants to add to my lists or finds a dead link, just let me know with a comment. I usually check my comments weekly.

I have two or three other lists going now that I haven’t got up yet. I was going to switch this whole site over to Drupal so I could use its features to build a much more structurally sound site, but then I found out about the WordPress 2.2 update and decided to give it try.  Read more... Wee little update

Actually a big one. WordPress recently came out with 2.2. Just found out. It has widgets now just like everything else. But they’re cool and make adding plugins easier. Thought I’d get a new theme and throw some extras in. Took the Adsense off. Always seemed tacky to me. Didn’t make much from this site anyway.

It must have an autosave function like Gmail, because it has a save time under this box I’m typing in. Added the MyBlogLog thing that I’ve seen on a lot of other people sites.
