Shortly after the holiday season, my mind turns to taxes and this year, to the fact that I got trapped in an ARM that increases my mortgage payment two months from now. It looked good on paper two years ago and I could probably absorb it, but I don’t want to if I don’t have to. I had just been turned down for a rental because of my credit. It was easier to buy a house.

Burning Down the House
I see so many people that don’t think or don’t even care to. When they search for a way to make money online, they want a system. Do they care how the system works? Nope. The problem with this type of thought process is that it is still a day job mentality. These people are still looking for bosses to tell them what to do.
They are told to clean the bathrooms at their day job and they do it without question. Eventually its just habit. Something they do every day without even thinking. It becomes more comfortable. Eventually their new day job becomes easier because they don’t have to think or make decisions. The turn into robots and go to work. Ignorant bliss.
@money
Maybe I don’t have a good bookkeeping system or maybe affiliate marketing has too many ups and downs to calculate an average or maybe I am just a straight idiot for trying to to this without an accountant, but I need an @money category of lists.
A Constant Brain Change
After I finished high school I made it a goal of mine not to ever stop learning. I wasn’t going to be able to afford the college degree, but I was willing to take the risk that learning itself would have value even if I didn’t have the official paperwork to prove I learned something.
At first, I wasn’t picky. I had a lot of time and no social life. I read whatever I felt like. Sometimes a subject would interest me to the point that I exhausted every book I found that referenced the field. Other times I would not finish the first book.
Leave Me the F*** Alone
You have to learn this phrase. Some people won’t hear kindness. Some people won’t let you do your own thing. Some people don’t know if they would just give you more time, you could be working for yourself.
This was one of my biggest stumbling blocks in trying to get the money rolling in through affiliate marketing. You have to be dedicated, especially if your time is limited. No one is going to give you this. You have to learn to say no and get your priorities straight. Maybe making money online isn’t a priority in your book. If not, don’t even get started.
Hope for the High School Dropouts
I think it is assumed that most pro bloggers quit a cush corporate job to become a blogger. Or they owned a business and then began blogging. Or that blogging is already an offshoot of another online business that they have. Or they are just fresh out of college with their IT degree and decided to blog instead of entering the work force. In other words, if blogging or making money online fails to work for them, they can just go back to what they were doing.
