Blog Blazers: A First Impression

Last night, I received my copy of Blog Blazers. I got it for free to review it. I can’t tell how excited I was over that. In fact, I had to analyze the excitement a bit. I actually make a bit of money online and somehow a free book excited me more than that. Not much sense, right?

First, I have to let you in on something. The interview format is not my favorite because it can be done badly. If the interviewer is not doing his job right, an interview can turn into hero worship. If the interviewee is off that day, you could miss some of the meat.

Not My Last Word on the Subject of SEO and Online Marketing

I just recently built a e-Commerce site. Only about 20% of the products are up but we decided to launch it. It was time to start getting links and making sales. The domain had no links pointing to it. We had paid for no advertising yet.

As the owner browsed to Google, he said, “I just want to check something.” You see, the domain was a keyword based one. What he was checking is if we showed up in the SERP‘s. I just couldn’t understand why.

The Dell White Flashing Cursor of Death

My wife’s Inspiron 1525 has always been a bit possessed. It looks nice on the outside and does the job, but it is a bit clunky. We couldn’t beat the price though.

Tonight, it just wouldn’t turn. It would start up. The white timer bar would go across the bottom of the screen. But then only a white flashing cursor on the black screen would show. Okay.

Internet Marketing Top Blogs at Winning the Web

How do you rank a blog?

It’s Google Pagerank. Which page? The home page. I have changed the rank of my homepage just by changing the structure of my site. It isn’t hard.

Alexa rank? Ha! I have already shown this one is way off.

Compete? Also off, but don’t have all my data together just yet.

Technorati? These numbers are like a roller coaster. Who knows?

Feedburner? Are you kidding? It depends on the day.

Organic Social Media Marketing

Organic is used a lot on the internet. So let me explain how I am applying it to social media marketing.

How do you learn social media marketing? That was a question I asked myself a few months ago. It was a new animal to tackle. I had blogged and used SEO, now it was time to learn something new. But was it?

Leveraging Your Social Media Efforts

Today I just happen to do a search for “mobile blog posting software” and ran into ShoZu which does more than mobile blog posting. The new T-Mobile Dash is a pretty awesome phone. No touch screen but a qwerty keyboard. And there is a lot of freeware for window mobile.

What ShoZu basically does is give you a platform to easily post pictures, videos and updates to various social networks, blogs and media sharing sites, plus a lot more. It also has a copycat function which will post your picture or video to multiple sites with one upload. I wrote about it and more in a post about promoting your blog through content. There is also a desktop app for ShoZu.Shozu Desktop
