Attacking and Defending Your E-commerce Niche

This was the slide show from my presentation at Highlight Midwest.  really enjoyed the unconference and can’t wait for the next.

Past E-commerce Posts

Although I have been an affiliate marketer and SEO for years, I have learned a lot more about e-commerce specifically in the last two and a half years. That is the reason why these posts may overlap or contradict each other (see slide #2 – Strategies are like belief systems).

Highlight Midwest and Unconferences

Highlight MidwestThis started as a post telling you to come to Highlight Midwest in Kansas City this Wednesday, but then the iframe virus hit the server this blog once lived on. But no worry. It sold out.

I moved to the fly-over states from Phoenix. They are called flyover states because no one really wants to stop here. For the most part, the opinion is, nothing happens here. And I for one believed it for a long time. I have ranted about the area and it’s backwardness for a long time. And, yes, I do have a right, because I was born here. I only lived in Phoenix for 6 years.

Join Me at the Bloghology Social Network

Until the bugs are all swatted on this server I am running on and I grow a second set of arms, I am pretty much behind. Behind on this. Behind on that. Mention something else and I will probably be behind on that one too. It happens when I focus on one thing to long and then the balls start dropping around me.

But the Bloghology social network has been going strong and making great strides and many of you there have friended me. But I haven’t been much of a friend as of late, because of current issues. But the show has to go on.

Updated: A Note Before You Read On

I don’t know the source of this virus currently. All I know is that everyone I have talked to so far that has this issue has been on a Layered Tech box, either directly, in the case of Woopra or through resellers. I have not found any other information of it effecting other hosting providers yet.

But I am only stating what I know to be true and trying to help people stop it on their own because god knows that these support desks are going to have their hands fulls.

My FireFox Addons

I like testing things by seeing if they will break. You might find me running nine different programs on my computer at the same time. Every time processors became faster and more efficient, I just loaded them up more.

I had a tendency to do that with Firefox also. This is one reason I run multiple browers: Flock, Firefox and Chrome. Flock is the one I use most of the time and it is one with the most addons. If you are not using Firefox or Flock, you are missing out. Change now or the rest of this post is not even worth reading. Browsers with addons take away the need for a lot of extra software.

Pushing Tin and SEO – A Post About RankSense

I am writing this post tethered to the wall by a cord. I have a laptop but the battery is a year old, lasts about 10 minutes now and I am waiting on the new one to come in the mail. I didn’t order it when it still lasted a half hour. I waited for the 10 minute mark.

The pay periods at the various affiliate programs I sell for dictate my work schedule. As a period nears the end and I have taken off on a new project for while, I snap back just in time to kick the money up enough to keep the machine going.
