Blogging is a Bitch

Okay, time to get these off my chest and write them down so that I can separate the stupid from the actual true issues.

Being Funny

I write posts that are funny in my head at times, by my head can recreate the tone of my voice and a computer screen just can’t do the same for the people reading the post. So I hit publish as quick as I can, saying I will not worry about how the post is taken and then stress about it all night. Of course, the next morning it takes a while to check my comments and when I do, it is usually with one eye closed so that the full force of whatever may be there doesn’t hit me at once.

Multiple Hot Stories Feeds in One Place

A short post for the weekend, but with lists, you can usually leave them short. This is a list of feeds that I have gathered over the last few months. They are the rss feeds of the hot and upcoming story section of various bookmark and social news sites. And I choose a few new ones in last week out of the following sites:

MMO Blogs

My blog is number 53 on the top 100 Make Money Online blogs. It has hovered right that number for a while. Amazing, considering that I have neglected this blog a lot. The reason: I have other blogs and while this one talks of making money, it doesn’t really make money iteself. I wiped banners out here and went back to my roots in affiliate marketing, leaving this blog a journal of making money rather than a “buy this now so I can make money” blog.

How Vlad Got Sued for Free Speech

I hate big business. Just checked my Quantcast account. It tells me that no small businesses make their way here. No medium sized businesses made their way here. But 16 big businesses do come here often. Probably because I bitch about them. One in the listing I know I have bitched about, but you can go bite yourself Comcast.

More News About Bloghology: Articles in the First Issue

Well, this week was a hectic one. I had all of my articles “written” and interviews sent out for the upcoming issue. But that was only half the job. The other half I finished about two days before the deadline in pure “procrastinate until the very end to see if you can still pull it off” fashion. Half of the writing was editing and proofreading and fleshing out post size anecdotes into true articles.

A Few Tools to Help You With Writing

Pen and Paper

I don’t know. I still can’t get away from my Moleskine and a pen to carry around with me. I can write everything in it from errands I have to article ideas. I only use my phone when something I have to do has a specific date. I can write faster than I can type with two thumbs and I would rather catch the ideas as fast as they come.
